Peony Floral Centerpiece

The month of May always brings a certain amount of excitement, especially for those of us who love flowers, because we know that May is equivalent to peony season! This means that during the month of May, we are all able to get amazing deals on peonies from market purveyors such as Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods for $7.99 - $11.99 a bunch (5 stems), which is a steal compared to their usual price of $35/bunch! So, it should be no surprise that for the month of May, our gathering table is inspired by peonies and its symbolism of love, honor, romance and prosperity.

FLORAL RECIPE

Peonies come in so many beautiful shades of colors. For our centerpiece, we chose to feature a coral peony. Additionally, we chose the following flowers to compliment our showstopper: blush roses, stock, star of bethlehem and small white allium bulbs. We got all of our floral supply from Trader Joe’s, they always have a great selection of blooms!

Fun fact about coral peonies: We have recently discovered that over time, the coral peony transforms into the most beautiful shade of blush/peach!
