Thankful

It’s no secret that this past year has been a tough one. Blow after blow, hit after hit, it seemed as though every time we would surface for air, we would be hit back down again. As two small business owners, both of our professional careers took a major hit with almost all weddings being cancelled or postponed until next year. But despite it all, we’ve managed to see the good in it all. As Thanksgiving approaches tomorrow, we wanted to take the time to share with you all that we are thankful for this year. Because even though it’s been a tough one, there have been some gems that have helped us to grow and just be thankful for what we do have.

Frances

Though the world turned upside down this year, I am grateful for so many things.  This year has stretched me personally and professionally, but through it all, I’ve re-found my passion and purpose in doing what I love —which is creating beautiful experiences.  I am extremely grateful for my family, always, as they are my anchor.  I’m thankful for good friendships that have only grown deeper during this time (such as this friendship and partnership with Sheryl for TMR!).  And lastly, I’m grateful that this year, I finally found “my forever person”.

Sheryl

This year started off rough, with a hard miscarriage that took a major toll on my physical and mental health. I struggled with feeling defeated all the time with my business and just felt as though I couldn’t catch a break. That was until Frances came to save me! After a brief zoom call catch-up, I felt reinvigorated and she just reminded me that this whole situation was in my control and that I could take back 2020 just by repositioning my frame of mind. It’s beautiful friendships like these that have really shone this year. Amazing people in your life who stand by you through it all and lift you up when you’re feeling low. I am thankful for family, despite being far from them and not having physically seen them for the whole year. I’m thankful for our small pod of friends here in Healdsburg. I’m thankful for my health and the health of my family. And finally, I’m grateful that early next year, we be welcoming a new little nugget into our lives.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
